Broken hearts are hard to mend
Especially when broken over and over again
Across the fragments fall trickling tears
A river of emotions held back for wasted years
Forever only lasted
2 years, 3 weeks and 6 days
your heart got lost in the love
until you found yourself being played
holding on for dear life
when he doesn’t want to stay
you start losing weight and self confidence
and it quickly makes you pray
what could you have done different?
could it be that this wasn’t meant?
but it seemed as if he was heaven sent
in the twinkling of an eye
love came and it went
forever was forgotten
and paradise lost
infidelity has a price
and your love paid the cost
he invested to much time
in the ways of this world
another tragic case
of boy meets girl
the scars are deep
and the wounds still burn
sometimes love is a hard lesson learned
everybody plays the fool
maybe this was your turn
get over baby girl
you live and you learn
